"พัทยา" ตั้งอยู่ที่จังหวัดชลบุรี เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวยอดนิยมตั้งแต่อดีตจวบจนปัจจุบัน ตามประวัติเล่าว่า... พระเจ้าตากสินได้ตีฝ่าวงล้อมพม่ามารวบรวมพลที่ฝั่งตะวันออก และได้หยุดพักแรมที่นาจอมเทียนและทุ่งไก่เตี้ยสัตหีบ ซึ่งภายหลังชาวบ้านเรียกตำบลนี้ว่า "ทัพพระยา" ต่อมาเรียกใหม่เป็น "ทัพธยา" และกลายเป็น "พัทยา" ในที่สุด บางคนก็เล่าว่า "พัทยา" มาจากชื่อของลมทะเล ที่พัดจากตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ไปตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือในต้นฤดูฝน

"หาดพัทยา" อยู่ในตัวเมืองพัทยา จากพัทยาเหนือถึงพัทยาใต้ เป็นหาดที่มีชื่อเสียงระดับโลก มีโรงแรมและสถานบันเทิงบริการตลอดเวลา ระยะทางทั้งหมดประมาณ 3 กิโลเมตร เป็นหาดที่มีถนนเลียบชายหาดที่ร่มรื่นด้วยพรรณไม้นานาชนิด ชายหาดทางด้านเหนือเป็นบริเวณที่ค่อนข้างเงียบสงบ นักท่องเที่ยวนิยมไปเล่นน้ำ นั่งพักผ่อน หรือเล่นกีฬาทางน้ำต่างๆ ส่วนชายหาดช่วงกลางไปจนถึงสุดหาดทางด้านใต้ เป็นบริเวณที่มีธุรกิจการบริการหนาแน่น ทั้งแหล่งอาหาร เครื่องดื่ม ห้างสรรพสินค้า ร้านขายของที่ระลึก ตลอดจนแหล่งบันเทิงเริงรมย์ต่างๆ มากมาย
"หาดวงศ์อำมาตย์" อยู่ทางด้านทิศเหนือของอ่าวพัทยา ทางเข้าเดียวกับโรงแรมเซ็นทรัลวงศ์อำมาตย์ ชายหาดมีความยาวประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตรเศษ เป็นหาดที่เงียบสงบ เหมาะสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่รักสันโดษ และต้องการมาพักผ่อนเพียงลำพัง หรือลงเล่นน้ำ แต่ถ้าจะมาเป็นคู่ก็ไม่มีใครว่านะคะ อิอิ
